Welcome to Sweet Peas and Sweet Corn

Red ripe tomatoes; sweet, savory fruit; luscious, red strawberries. Can you just taste them? Tantalizing, quite satisfying, but not always easy to find. I am searching for the cream of the crop. Do you know where to find them?

I have been to Newtown, to New Hope, and to Buckingham and am still looking for fresh, young, tender fruits and vegetables and bright, eye-catching annuals and perennials. Perhaps they are in Doylestown, Morristown or Levittown. According to the Bucks County Cooperative Extension http://bucks.extension.psu.edu/Agriculture/freshfarmlist.html#num, there are at least 56 farm markets in Bucks County, and I plan to find them.

Each weekend I’ll visit a new market or garden center and report on their specials for fresh produce and garden selections.
